We are seeking two motivated and qualified HR Officers to support our growing operations in the coastal region. The ideal candidates will be all-rounders with a solid foundation in core HR practices and a keen understanding of Kenyan labour laws. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive HR support to ensure the smooth running of the HR department and contribute to a positive and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full recruitment cycle for junior to mid-level positions, from posting job ads and screening CVs to conducting interviews and facilitating the onboarding process for new hires.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date physical and digital employee records, ensuring the highest level of confidentiality and data integrity.
  • Provide support in the monthly payroll processing by submitting accurate data on attendance, leave, and deductions. Administer employee benefits programs.
  • Assist in the coordination and implementation of the performance management cycle, guiding line managers and employees on the process.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employee queries. Foster a positive work environment and assist in resolving any staff issues in line with company policy and labour laws.
  • Ensure the company's HR policies and procedures are fully compliant with the Kenyan Employment Act and other relevant labour laws. Assist in preparing for audits.
  • Prepare regular HR reports on metrics such as recruitment, turnover, and training for management review.
  • Assist in the communication and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management from a recognized institution.
  • minimum mean grade of B (Plain) in the KCSE.
  • 1 – 3 years of proven experience in a generalist HR role.
  • Strong understanding of the Kenyan Labour Laws and practical experience in their application.
  • Solid knowledge of core HR functions including recruitment, payroll support, performance management, and employee relations.
  • Willingness and flexibility to be based and work within the coastal region is mandatory.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS software.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
