At Lufa Farms, we’re on a mission to create a better food system and a huge part of this is achieved by growing food where people live, and growing it responsibly. We also partner with hundreds of local farmers and foodmakers to offer a full lineup of fresh, local, responsible groceries online. As our business continues to grow, we’re looking for a motivated and passionate individual to assist our Human Resources team.
Working in a junior role within the department, the Human Resources Assistant will be responsible for maintaining filing systems, updating job postings, validating documents before they’re taken over by the payroll department, and making sure that team members’ files are kept up to date. The assistant will also participate in the pre-screening of resumes and the drafting of offer letters, contracts, and other documents related to the onboarding of new recruits.
Responsibilities
- Keep filing systems up to date;
- Regularly update job offers;
- Validate necessary documents before transmitting them to the payroll department;
- Regularly check and update team members files;
- Participate in the pre-selection of resumes for vacant positions;
- Draft offer letters, employment contracts, and other documents required for the integration of new team members.
Requirements
- Organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail;
- Proactivity and sense of responsibility;
- Integrity, reliability, and ability to handle confidential information;
- Proficiency with Excel, Google Workspace, and other information systems software;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in both French and English.
Assets
- College diploma or bachelor's degree in human resources or related discipline;
- Foodie with a passion for urban ag and local food.
Schedule
Full-time (40 hours/week), Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary to be determined based on experience and knowledge of the candidate;
- Reimbursement of cell phone expenses up at $60 per month;
- You’ll be eligible to participate in the firm’s health insurance, dental, and disability programs after completion of the probationary period (paid 50% by the employee and 50% by Lufa Farms);
