Background

The role will play a crucial role in supporting the organization's information technology infrastructure and operations. This internship provides a hands-on experience in areas such as software development, hardware support and trouble shooting and network administration.
You will work closely with the Head of IT in ongoing projects within the company.
This is a critical role to ensure service delivery in Kenpoly.
Responsibilities
1. Data Entry and Management:
a. Perform high-volume data entry using Excel formulas, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
b. Develop and maintain master data files to ensure all systems are up-to-date and accurate e.g. Invoices, requisitions etc.
c. Assist in hardware maintenance.
2. Document Handling:
a. Use Microsoft Word and other office software to create, manage, and maintain documentation.
b. Prepare reports and presentation materials that aid in departmental functions and project meetings.
3. Department Coordination:
a. Act as a liaison between the IT department and other departments to ensure smooth operation and communication.
b. Coordinate departmental requests and assist in the scheduling and organization of inter-departmental meetings.
4. Project Assistance:
a. Provide support in various IT projects, contributing to planning and execution phases.
b. Assist in the research and implementation of new software solutions and systems.
5. Technical Support:
a. Offer basic hardware support and troubleshooting, including setting up workstations and resolving minor hardware issues.
6. Training and Professional Development:
a. Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
b. Keep abreast of industry trends and professional growth, staying updated on emerging technologies and industry trends.
7. Any other duties as assigned by line manager, H.O.D.
Skills & Experience:

Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field is preferred but not essential.
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware and troubleshooting.
- Skills in organisation and data entry with an emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to work effectively across multiple departments.

- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of data and information.
