Background
The ICT Manager will lead the development, implementation, and management of all ICT systems, infrastructure, and digital services at Lions SightFirst Eye Hospital. The role is responsible for ensuring operational efficiency, data security, system reliability, and continuous digital innovation to improve healthcare service delivery.
Responsibilities
ICT Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and implement ICT strategies aligned with hospital objectives.
- Manage the ICT budget and optimize resource allocation.
- Monitor emerging healthcare technologies and recommend improvements.
Network and Systems Management:
- Install, configure, maintain, and monitor ICT hardware and software.
- Manage network infrastructure and ensure high availability.
- Maintain Hospital Management Systems (HMS).
- Maintain Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
- Manage servers, storage infrastructure, backups, and disaster recovery.
- Ensure system uptime, performance, and reliability.
Cybersecurity and Compliance:
- Implement cybersecurity policies and procedures.
- Manage ICT risks and data protection.
- Ensure compliance with data protection laws and healthcare regulations.
- Conduct security audits and vulnerability assessments.
Technical Support and Training:
- Provide ICT support to hospital staff.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
- Organize ICT user training and capacity-building programs.
Vendor and Stakeholder Management:
- Manage ICT vendors and service providers.
- Coordinate with internal departments to identify ICT requirements.
- Recommend and implement appropriate technology solutions.
Innovation and Project Management:
- Lead digital transformation initiatives.
- Manage ICT projects from planning through implementation.
- Ensure projects meet timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
- Improve operational efficiency through technology adoption.
Qualifications and Requirements
Education:
- Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Preferred: Master's degree.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience.
- Preferred 7 years of experience.
- Preferred industry experience in Healthcare, Hospital, or a similar organizational environment.
- Required experience in ICT management, ICT infrastructure management, network administration, enterprise software management, Hospital Management Systems (HMS), Electronic Medical Records (EMR), and data security.
Technical Skills:
- Network administration, Systems administration, Database management, Cybersecurity, Risk management, Cloud technologies, Digital transformation, ICT infrastructure, Server administration, Backup and disaster recovery, Project management, Agile methodology, Prince2.
Soft Skills:
