Kilimall is a leading e-commerce platform in Africa, committed to providing a seamless online shopping experience. We are expanding our team and looking for a dedicated IT Support Staff to join us.

Responsibilities

The IT Support Staff will be responsible for a range of duties aimed at ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure. This includes troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and network issues, providing first-level support to users, and maintaining and updating systems and applications. The role also involves monitoring network performance, managing support tickets, and handling access creation, rights, and onboarding. Additionally, the IT Support Staff will be tasked with ensuring the proper execution of IT procedures and the maintenance of simple performance records.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field. Proficiency in Windows, macOS, and/or Linux operating systems is essential, along with strong skills in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting software and hardware. A solid understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP, is required. The ability to understand and implement security practices, troubleshoot network issues, and provide effective help desk and ticketing system support is crucial. Experience with problem-solving, communication, and network calls is also expected.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Provide first-level tech support in person, by phone or email.
  • Install, configure and update systems and applications.
  • Maintain network and systems performance for efficiency.
  • Manage support tickets, track resolutions, and maintain records.
  • Handle access creation, system rights, and user onboarding.
  • Ensure IT procedures and simple performance records are followed and maintained.
  • Proficiency in Windows, macOS, and/or Linux operating systems.
  • Skills in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting software and hardware.
  • Knowledge of networking (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi).
  • Understanding of security practices.
  • Experience with help desk/ticketing systems.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and network skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
