  • As our IT Supervisor, you will be the cornerstone of our digital strategy and operations. You will be responsible for developing and executing an IT roadmap that aligns with our brand values and commercial goals. You will lead all aspects of our technology stack, from our core ERP and retail systems to our network infrastructure, ensuring security, reliability, and performance to support our growing business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic IT Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive IT strategy that supports business objectives, enhances operational efficiency, and drives digital transformation across retail, supply chain, and finance functions.
  • Systems Management & Optimization: Serve as the primary expert and administrator for our integrated ERP and retail management systems (e.g., Odoo, RMS). Ensure systems are optimized, integrated, and meeting the evolving needs of the business.
  • Infrastructure & Network Management: Oversee the company's entire IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, hardware, and software. Ensure high availability, performance, and security of all systems, both on-premise and cloud-based.
  • Data Security & Compliance: Develop and enforce robust IT security policies, disaster recovery plans, and data protection protocols. Ensure compliance with relevant data privacy laws and protect sensitive company and customer information.
  • Vendor & Budget Management: Manage relationships with IT vendors, service providers, and consultants. Lead negotiations for software licenses, hardware purchases, and service contracts. Develop and manage the IT department budget.
  • Team Leadership & Support: Lead and mentor the IT support team. Provide exceptional end-user support and training to ensure staff can utilize technology effectively. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and proactive service.
  • Project Management: Lead technology projects from conception to completion, including system upgrades, new implementations, and process automation, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP, CISSP, Odoo certification) is a strong advantage.
  • 5+ years of experience in an IT management or leadership role, with a proven track record in the retail, distribution, or FMCG sectors.
  • Essential Technical Experience:
    • Deep hands-on experience with ERP systems; proficiency with Odoo and RMS is a significant advantage.
    • Strong knowledge of retail management systems (RMS), point-of-sale (POS) systems, and inventory management software.
    • Expertise in network administration, cybersecurity principles, and IT infrastructure management.
  • A strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of translating business needs into technical solutions.
  • An excellent leader, communicator, and relationship-builder, capable of managing stakeholders at all levels and explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Passionate about leveraging technology to support and promote African artistry and business excellence.
