We currently have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic person to join our Tax Team as an Immigration Senior Consultant under the Global Employer Services offering. This position will be based in our Nairobi office in Kenya.

Main purpose of the job

The holder of this position will ensure that the client and Firm’s expectations are met by delivering high quality services and maintaining high utilisation levels.

Responsibilities or duties

What you will do

  • Review client documents for accuracy and completeness before lodging applications.
  • Complete and upload applications accurately into the immigration system (EFNS).
  • Make follow ups on immigration cases at the immigration offices.
  • Update trackers in a timely manner to ensure Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are not missed.
  • Liaise with the Finance team to ensure all statutory payments/government fees are processed in time.
  • Support in preparation of proposals and engagement letters.
  • Support in drafting immigration alerts on developments in immigration legislations.
  • Support business development initiatives aimed at growing the Immigration portfolio/business.
  • Support in coaching and training the associates.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business/Commerce, Economics or Law.
  • Professional accounting qualification (CPA/ACCA).

Behavioural competencies

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Effective interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Good mentorship and coaching ability with desire to develop self and others.
  • Adaptable, managing change and ambiguity with ease.
  • Sound problem solving ability.
  • Organisational, supervisory and time management.

Technical Competencies

  • Expert in field with sound industry and business knowledge.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Excellent report writing skills.
  • Good financial knowledge.
  • Sound business acumen.
  • Focus on quality and risk.
  • Well-developed computer user skills.

Experience needed

At least 4 years’ experience in a relevant role.
