Responsibilities or duties

Analyzing, designing. Coding, testing, implementation computer programs and providing user support; Write Clean, scalable and efficient code using programming languages such as Python, Java or C#.3 repairing and maintaining of information communication technology equipment and associated peripheral; Receiving, installing and certifying of information communication technology equipment and configuring new information communication technology equipment; Maintenance of County Website and digital platforms; Participate in the design and architecture of software systems to meet set ICT standards; Develop and maintaining robust APIS for seamless integration between different software systems; Assist in monitoring the use of hardware and software and ensure that all hardware is licensed and any other lawful duties and responsibilities as may be assigned.

Qualifications or requirements

i. For appointment to this grade, an applicant MUST have: -

ii. Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines; Computer Science/ Information Communication Technology, Information systems, business information technology or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.

iii. Demonstrated professional competence

iv. Good oral and written communication skills

v. A member of an industry related professional body

vi. Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language ( e.g. Java, C#, Python)

vii. Experience with front-end technologies (e.g HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Angular)

viii. Solid understanding of relational database (e.g MySQL, Postgres SQL, SQL Server)

ix. Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodology like Agile or Scrum

x. Experience with web services and API development (REST, SOAP) is highly desirable
