INFORMATION OFFICER III (PHOTOGRAPHER)

Duties and Responsibilities
- Assisting in sourcing for appropriate County information and communication content to disseminate to the public;
- Documenting County events through video, photography and press cuttings;
- Editing and dispatching information and communication for dissemination to the public and media under supervision of a senior officer;
- Preparing and placing radio, TV or Social media infomercials;
- Assisting in development of communications and media strategies;
- Organize press briefings, conferences and interviews with key County officials;
- Assist in hosting live coverage for County events on social media and any other duty that may be assigned from time to time.
Requirements & Qualifications
- For appointment to this grade, an applicant MUST have: -
- Diploma in any of the following; Mass media, Journalism, Mass Communication, media techniques, media studies, Communication or any other approved equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution.
- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade C with a minimum of C+ in English or Kiswahili and C in any other relevant subject or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution
- Demonstrated professional competence
- Good oral and written communication skills
- A member of the media Council of Kenya
- Proficiency with DSLR/Mirrorless Camera and other photography equipment’s
- Proficiency in Photo editing software e.g Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom etc.
