Internship Overview
WFP Kenya Country Office is seeking a Monitoring and Evaluation Intern for a six-month internship under Cohort 3, 2026. The intern will support monitoring, reporting, and documentation activities across Wajir and Mandera hubs.
Priority will be given to candidates from surrounding local communities.
Key Responsibilities
Data Collection Support
- Support programme teams in gathering data from seven hubs in Wajir and Mandera
- Participate in field visits to collect monitoring data and community feedback
- Enter and clean data in monitoring systems
- Ensure accuracy and quality of collected data
Reporting and Documentation
- Assist in preparing monthly briefs and monitoring summaries
- Maintain organized digital and physical records
- Document lessons learned, success stories, and best practices
Community Engagement
- Engage communities through interviews and discussions
- Support inclusive participation of vulnerable groups
- Assist in community meetings and awareness sessions
Collaboration
- Support harmonized reporting formats
- Participate in coordination meetings with government and partners
Expected Outcomes
- Verified and cleaned monitoring data
- Monthly summaries and organized documentation
- Field reports capturing lessons learned and success stories
- Contributions to harmonized reporting frameworks
Qualifications
- Recent graduate (within the last 6 months) with a Bachelor’s degree in Monitoring and Evaluation, Statistics, Data Science or related field
- Fluency in English and relevant local language
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
