Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities: -

Prepare audit plans, programs and Budget; review internal control systems on financial and other operations of County, Sub County, Departments and Sections; ensure economy, efficiency, effectiveness and equity in financial and operating systems including computer systems; verifying the existence and safety of Government/ County assets; prepare Audit reports to the Assistant Director, Internal Audit for action and review; supervising staff under the officer including those on the job training; maintenance of high audit standards and general discipline and any other duty as may be assigned by the supervisors from time to time.

Requirements & Qualifications

For appointment to this grade, an applicant MUST have: -

• Passed CPA part III or CIA Part IV or be in possession of a Bachelor of Commerce Degree (Accounting/Finance option) with CPA Part II or CIA Part III
• Certificate in computer application from a recognized institution.
