Responsibilities or duties

Chain of Custody & Device Accountability

  • Track and document the end-to-end movement of devices from customer handover through to the service provider.
  • Ensure accurate logging of IMEI/serial numbers at every transfer point.
  • Maintain clear audit trails for all devices handled, ensuring zero gaps in custody.

Device Processing & Quality Control

  • Perform device flashing, grading, and functional verification in line with company standards.
  • Confirm device condition and specifications match intake records before processing.
  • Flag and escalate inconsistencies or suspicious device alterations.

Inventory & Stock Reconciliation

  • Conduct daily and periodic stock reconciliations between physical devices and system records.
  • Investigate stock variances, shortages, or mismatches promptly.
  • Prepare discrepancy reports and support resolution actions.

Anti-Fraud & Risk Control

  • Implement and adhere to anti-fraud controls across device handling and storage.
  • Identify red flags such as IMEI duplication, device swaps, or unauthorized movement.
  • Support internal audits and investigations related to stock integrity.

Systems & Documentation

  • Update inventory management systems accurately and in real time.
  • Maintain structured documentation for audits, compliance, and reporting.
  • Ensure SOP adherence across all processing and inventory workflows.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Liaise with customer service, logistics, and warehouse teams to ensure seamless handovers.
  • Escalate operational risks or process gaps to management with recommendations

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

Experience needed

  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a similar operational environment, such as device processing, inventory control, refurbishment, or operations-heavy roles.

Education

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in any relevant field (e.g. Information Systems, IT, Business Operations,or related disciplines).

Skills

  • Strong systems and technology orientation, with the ability to learn new tools and platforms quickly.
  • High level of digital literacy, including basic data entry, device identification, and system navigation.
  • Technical competencies related to device processing, flashing, and grading are trainable on the job.
