Dispatch Coordinator- Naivasha/Nakuru

About the role 

We have proven that there is demand for our product and that we can make it work operationally. Now we need to show that we can make unit economics work. For that, we need to ensure the deliveries get to our customers timely and ensure smooth deliveries. 

Key responsibilities for this role are:

  • Oversee the loading process by verifying the items on the manifest and those being loaded to the vehicles to ensure the quantities are right, no returns due to wrong products or poor quality products being dispatched to customers
  • Planning and coordinating on the route/road’s delivery vehicles are to use in order to ensure timely delivery of goods to customers
  • Communicating to customers of any anticipated or actual delay in supply and likely time of supply and/or delivery while proactively addressing and resolving any dispatch issues that arise
  • Submit daily reports on warehouse operations including time sheets, asset trackers, stock outs, delivery issues and recommendation
  • Maintain our loading time at 4 mins per driver or less
  • Verify all M-PESA messages shared by drivers to ensure zero scam messages from customers
  • Ensure zero supply chain related issues affecting on-time deliveries while increasing our overall On-Time

Who you are 

We are looking for someone who will be responsible for overseeing the dispatching process, drivers and deliveries. We believe that a great Dispatch Coordinator can come from many industry and organizational backgrounds and there is no set years of experience that is required for a talented person to fill this role. However, preference will be given to the following:

  • Lives in Naivasha/Nakuru
  • Previous experience as a Dispatcher Coordinator.
  • A solid working knowledge regarding the distribution environment and dispatch issues and procedures
  • Strong skill base and comfort with technology including Microsoft Office, specifically Excel; experience with routing or dispatching systems a plus.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask while being flexible with the changing demands
  • Good communication and  reporting skills - Basic Excel knowledge

 

Key Accounts Manager (HoReCa & Bars)

About the role

The Key Accounts Manager’s main goal is to manage and oversee the profitability of the modern trade by acquiring, growing and developing long term relationships with the hotels, restaurants/cafes and bars. You will be responsible for a specific customer segment. The segments that we are recruiting for are: Modern Trade hotels, restaurants/cafes (more upscale places), Bars, Caterers, Schools and Hospitals.

Key responsibilities are:

  • Managing the sales of all company products to hotels, restaurants/cafes and bars acquisitions through the CRM system and growing the existing accounts towards profitability
  • Preparing valuable analysis and feedback to provide focus on the growth of the business and identify the reasons for any de-growth in the business.
  • Onboard at least 3 hotels, 5 restaurants and bars with AOF 1
  • Monitoring competitor's activities in the market and counter it by proposing necessary measures and attractive proposals to our clients so that our competitors may not take over our market share.
  • Collaborating with other teams(marketing, supply chain, finance and product) to drive new pipeline and revenue opportunities
  • Following up with customers for payment collections from the market as per the company's agreed credit terms and coordinating with the Finance Department
  • Operating as the primary point of contact for key account stakeholders
  • Exceeding monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets
  • Hitting a retention rate of not less than 80% across the modern trade restaurant base
  • Increasing the AOV of each client by 300%

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A strong network in the Modern Trade segment with network in Naivasha/Nakuru
  • Ability to follow sales process for hotels moving from lead to customer in a timely manner
  • Ability to identify product & pricing needs for your customer segment and create a plan based on that
  • Excellent leadership skills - incl. monitoring of goals and quality standards to reach goals; incl. making tough decisions
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and spoken). Solid demonstrated presentation skills.
  • Ability to implement problem solving techniques in order to resolve customer issues and take corrective action
  • Ability to work independently as well as thrive in a cooperative work environment
  • Good data & analytical skills - e.g., interpreting dashboards and key metrics to understand how to improve operations, excel analyses to determine weighted gross margin across products

 

DevOps Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled DevOps Engineer with a background in software development, systems operations, and full-stack implementations. As a DevOps Engineer, you will be implementing, maintaining, and scaling cloud infrastructure (AWS & GCP) in a modern containerized environment as well as implementing CI/CD processes. You will also be required to have good organizational skills, pay attention to details at all times, and take a collaborative approach while working with other team members.

Responsibilities

  • Implementing various development, testing, automation tools, and IT infrastructure
  • Designing and implementing both build, deployment, and configuration management
  • Managing infrastructure in various cloud providers & developing code for automating infrastructure provisioning
  • Developing efficient CI/CD pipelines for various web, mobile, and data applications written in multiple languages
  • Monitoring, securing, maintaining, and improving live environments
  • Provide technical guidance and educate team members and coworkers on development and operations
  • Brainstorm for new ideas and ways to improve development delivery
  • Consult with peers for feedback during the testing stages
  • Build, maintain, and monitor configuration standards
  • Maintain day-to-day management and administration of projects
  • Document and design various processes; update existing processes
  • Improve infrastructure development and application development

Experience

  • Degree in Computer Science, engineering, software engineering, or related discipline. 
  • You have at least 3 years of hands-on experience in building pipelines, deployments, development, and operations. 
  • Experience with Linux, Containerisation, CI/CD tools particularly Gitlab CI/CD, scripting
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms specifically AWS and GCP
  • Previous experience in software development.
  • Good knowledge of Code-versioning with Git and experience in using git clients specifically GitLab
  • You feel at home working in a test-driven, agile team
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Good problem-solving skills & capacity to learn quickly and improve on skills.
