About the Role:
Location: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
Commitment: 4-6 months renewable
Reports to: Senior School Support Lead
Key Responsibilities:
1. Client Acquisition and Pipeline Development
a. Identify and onboard new schools interested in Jackfruit’s loan products, meeting monthly targets.
- Identify and onboard new schools interested in Jackfruit’s loan products, meeting monthly targets.
- Foster strong relationships with school leaders, becoming a trusted advisor for their financial needs.
2. Credit Scoring and Loan Processing.
- Conduct thorough credit scoring for schools applying for loans through accurate and detail oriented data capture.
- Evaluate applicants’ financial profiles and ensure accuracy in credit applications before review.
3. Training and Onboarding for Loan Recipients
- Train approved schools on managing their Jackfruit loans, ensuring a clear understanding of repayment processes and project guidelines.
- Monitor project implementations and asset purchases to confirm funds are utilized as intended.
4. Debt Portfolio and Risk Management.
- Manage and monitor the repayment of loans, ensuring timely collections and developing corrective action plans for delinquent accounts.
- Collaborate with internal teams to achieve a 100% on-time repayment rate.
5. Client Relations and Ongoing Support.
- Provide ongoing financial guidance and support to schools, addressing queries and maintaining a positive client relationship.
- Attend regional meetings and peer review sessions to share insights and contribute to best practices within the SSL team.
6. Data Management and Operational Support
- Ensure accurate tracking of client data and loan application status, and actively follow up with pending applications.
- Execute other education finance-related tasks as assigned by the Team Leader or Head of Operations.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Repayment: Achieve a 100% on-time repayment rate across all loans.
- Disbursement Targets: Achieve disbursement targets monthly
- Fund Utilization: Ensure all disbursed funds are used as intended for project or asset acquisition.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
1. Minimum level of academic and professional qualifications required to perform effectively in the role
a) Relevant Diploma from a recognized institution
b) Certificate in basic computer skills
2. Minimum level of experience required to perform effectively in the role
a) Atleast a minimum of 18 months experience in sales, preferably in school financing, and SME lending
b) Notable achievements in sales targets, portfolio quality, etc
