What you will do

CrossBoundary is recruiting a full-time Intern to join the Advisory team in Kenya. As a member of the advisory team, you will work on impactful transactions and engagements across East & Central Africa. This internship provides a unique opportunity to enhance your skills in financial analysis, macroeconomic research, transaction advisory, and consulting.

The role will be for an initial three-month period, with the potential to extend this for another three months subject to the intern's performance.

Responsibilities

  • Mandate support: Contribute to active client engagements across CrossBoundary Advisory workstreams
  • Research and analysis: Conduct market assessments covering macroeconomic and sector-level dynamics
  • Financial modelling: Support the development of financial models under the guidance of senior team members
  • Client materials: Help prepare client-facing documents including presentations and reports
  • Events and networking: Help organise stakeholder engagement events

Who you are

  • Recently completed a university or similar educational program in finance, business administration, economics, or a related field
  • Comfortable with numbers and analytical work; experience with Excel or financial modelling (even at a coursework level) is a plus
  • Excellent presentation skills; ability to communicate clearly and effectively with diverse audiences
  • Familiarity with MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
  • Experience or demonstrated interest in consulting or financial analysis is a plus
  • Curious, driven, and eager to learn in a fast-paced professional environment
  • Self-starter who is passionate about creating lasting change in underserved markets
