JOB DETAILS:

Job Purpose:
To ensure the smooth and safe operation of all kitchen equipment by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting breakdowns, and conducting repairs. This role supports the culinary team by minimizing equipment downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on all kitchen equipment (ovens, grills, refrigerators, freezers, dishwashers, etc.).
• Diagnose malfunctions and perform necessary repairs promptly.
• Coordinate with external service providers for specialized repairs as needed.
• Maintain records of all maintenance and repair work.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards during all repairs.
• Assist in installing new kitchen equipment.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Certificate or Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience maintaining and repairing commercial kitchen equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure in a hot and noisy environment.

Level of Education: associate degree
