Kisumu Specialists Hospital is recruiting a suitable candidate to fill the above position. The successful candidate will join a dedicated team in KSH to offer world-class care and services to our patients.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage reporting, monitoring resources, and laboratory personnel.
  • Work closely with team members to provide effective solutions to support business and quality objectives.
  • Facilitate effective communication across internal departments by trending and reporting data.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, budgets, and programs schedules.
  • Identification and addressing of complains, risks, non-conformance and corrective actions.
  • Coordinate planning and implementation of trainings, workshops and seminars for Lab staff.
  • Ensure the lab establishes and maintains calibration programs, quality controls and assurance programs for all equipment that affect quality results.
  • Ensure safe laboratory environmental in compliance with good laboratory practice and applicable regulations.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • A bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences from accredited institution.
  • 4+ years of progressive management/or supervisory experience.
  • Registered by the KMLTTB with current practicing license.
  • Experience with ISO 15189:2012 laboratory accreditation processes required.
  • Demonstrate ability and capacity to steer the laboratory to transition from ISO 15189:2012 to ISO 15189:2022 accreditation standard.
  • Trainings in Implementation of ISO 15189 Standard, Internal Auditing and Risk Management in Medical Laboratory Quality systems will be an added Advantage.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, team building and mentoring abilities.
  • Computer literacy, excellent verbal skills and Strong Interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Terms of Engagement: 2-year contract, renewable
