Beroya Church: City of Refuge Branch, Community Health Initiative in Partnership with Silverheal hospital and Open Space Ministry (OSM)

Responsibilities or duties

Perform rapid diagnostic tests (malaria, HIV, blood sugar, hemoglobin, urinalysis, etc.).

Collect and handle specimens safely.

Maintain laboratory registers and ensure quality control.

Adhere to biosafety and infection prevention protocols.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

Diploma or Degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences/Technology from a recognized institution.

Valid and current Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board (KMLTTB) practicing license.

Good command of English and Kiswahili (knowledge of local dialects is n advantage).

Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care, ethics, and professionalism.

Experience needed

At least 1 year of practical experience in a clinical laboratory.

Experience with point-of-care/rapid testing is highly preferred.

Any other provided details (e.g., benefits, work environment, team info, or additional notes)

Must be available for both days of the medical camp (29th & 30th May 2026) from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM.

Willingness to work in a high-volume, community-based setting Kizito setting

Must present original documents for verification if shortlisted.
