Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology is situated in Juja, 36 kilometres North East of Nairobi, along Nairobi-Thika Highway. It was started in 1981 as a Middle Level College (Jomo Kenyatta College of Agriculture and Technology (JKCAT)) by the Government of Kenya with the generous assistance from the Japanese Government. Plans for the establishment of JKCAT started in 1977

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

• Possess a PhD in Aerospace/Aeronautical/Mechanical Engineering from an accredited and recognized institution;
• Have earned a Master’s degree in Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering from accredited and recognized university;
• Have earned a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering from accredited and recognized university;
• Be registered with a relevant professional body and be in good standing.
• Possess a Master’s degree in Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering from an accredited and recognized institution;
• Have earned a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace/Aeronautical/Mechanical Engineering from accredited and recognized university;
• Have three (3) papers in referred journals or two (2) scholarly books since last appointment/promotion;
• Be registered with Engineers Board of Kenya as a professional Engineer and be in good standing.
• A holder of Aircraft maintenance license with ratings related to mechanic/avionic/engine will be an added advantage

Experience needed

At least ten (10) years teaching experience or Industry experience in related field.

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 12

Level of Education: postgraduate degree
