LOGISTICS MANAGER
LOCATION: NAIROBI, KENYA (with travels to Kismayo/Somalla as needed)
CONTRACT DURATION: 8 months with possibility of renewal
START DATE: Immediate
SALARY GRADE: According to SIF'S national staff salary scale
POSITION SUMMARY: The role of the Logistics Manager is to manage all the logistics operations in Nairobi and Kismayo office to ensure smooth relationship runs between SIF and its suppliers by collecting of quotations and updating them on when to expect their payments when they fall due at the mission by following the laid down procedures and guidelines of the Mission.. .

  KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage all Logistics operations for Kenya and Kismayo office
• Provide guidance to SF/Somalia Logistics Officer
• Manage all Logistic documentations for Kenya/Somalia Mission
• Supervise driver and cook/cleaner in Kenya
• Ensure full compliance with SF Logistics rules/regulations
• Ensure full compliance with government of Kenya rules/regulations
• Ensure full compliance with donor rules/regulations
• Provide regular updates/reports to SIF HQ on all Logistics activities
• Manage IT operations for the Kenya/Somalia MIKSI

REQUIREMENTS:
• A Bachelor degree in Procurement and supplies, BM, or other relevant degree;
• Demonstrated experience in applied procurement;
• Excellent written and spoken English;
• IT knowledge will be an added advantage.
• Familiarity with Somalia context and local culture is a plus.

• Minimum 5 years of experience relevant in the accountancy:
• Experience in working in collaboration with NGOs & government agencies

  • Computer skills (MS Package)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
