Background information about the job or company (e.g., role context, company overview)
Tatu is a project of Rendeavour, Africa’s largest urban land developer with over 30,000 acres of visionary projects in the growth trajectories of large cities in Kenya, Ghana, Nigeria, Zambia and Democratic Republic of Congo. Rendeavour’s vision goes beyond alleviating what is a self-evident problem - that of stifling urban congestion and a dearth of quality housing and commercial property in Africa. Rather, we aim to help create the infrastructure - the living and working spaces, communities, schools and hospitals - that will help sustain and accelerate Africa’s economic growth, meet the aspirations of Africa’s burgeoning middle classes, and serve as a catalyst for further urban development.
Tatu City is hiring an experienced MEP Construction Supervisor with a strong track record in delivering high-rise residential, commercial, hospitality, and mixed-use developments. Adept at managing on-site mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) installations, ensuring compliance with international standards, and driving projects to successful completion. This role is a critical link between engineering teams and site workforce, ensuring seamless execution from basement plant rooms to rooftop equipment.

- Quality Control (QA/QC) Implement rigorous inspection protocols, verify materials and workmanship, and document compliance with project requirements. Conduct audits and corrective actions to maintain high-quality standards.
- Testing & Commissioning Supervise pre-commissioning and commissioning activities, including pressure tests, equipment start-ups, and system performance validation. Ensure all systems are fully operational before handover.
- Utility Coordination Liaise with utility providers for timely connection of water, power, gas, and telecom services. Resolve conflicts between site works and external utility requirements to avoid delays.
- Safety Management Enforce health and safety policies, conduct risk assessments, and lead toolbox talks. Ensure compliance with statutory safety regulations and promote a culture of zero incidents.
- Progress Reporting Prepare detailed site reports, track milestones, and highlight risks or delays. Communicate progress to project managers and stakeholders with accurate data-driven updates.
