About the role

To maximize the performance of the Meraki clients by safely operating the MHE in carrying out warehouse tasks as per the assigned duties in this role profile and as instructed on a daily basis.- "making DHL a great place to work and efficient operation, working within clear guidelines to help achieve defined outcomes for the warehouse and the customer(s).

Key duties and responsibilities

  • Implement actions as aimed at reducing or eliminating health and safety related risks
  • Forklift inspection.
  • Receiving of raw materials from suppliers
  • Issuing raw materials to production centers.
  • Receiving of Finished goods from production
  • Assembling orders for customers, doing load verification and loading products to trucks.
  • Put away of products into the warehouse.
  • Adhere to customer requirements in line with DPDHL policy.
  • Participate in customer, regulatory and internal operational audits as required and work with the team to implement the agreed action plan.
  • Respond to or escalate customer issues within clear guidelines and recommend solutions where possible.
  • Support management implement continuous improvement activities
  • Support in implementing site plans within own area of operation
  • Support the environmental agenda and continuous improvement activities to increase environmental efficiency.

About you

  • Certificate in Forklift/MHE Operations.
  • 5 yrs in Operating the MHE.
  • Flexibility to work shift patterns and odd days.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
  • English and Kiswahili both spoken and written.
