The Role
The Management Account will oversee financial management, reporting, compliance, and strategic financial planning for Kenyan operations. This role ensures strong financial controls, accurate reporting, and effective decision-making to support ARC Ride’s sustainable growth and expansion.

Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Management, Reporting & Control
- Prepare and review accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts in compliance with accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP).
- Regionalize financial reports and provide timely, actionable insights to top management.
- Manage the monthly close process, reporting calendar, and standardize financial processes across the region.
- Establish and maintain robust internal controls and governance systems across all countries of operation to ensure successful audits (Target: 0 major findings).
2. Budgeting, Forecasting & Strategic Planning
- Lead the Kenyan budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring high alignment with business goals (Target: ≥ 95% accuracy).
- Conduct financial analysis for strategic initiatives, including market expansion, capacity scaling, and capital investments (CAPEX).
- Support pricing systems, cost structures, and margin analysis essential for EV assembly and manufacturing.
- Conduct investment appraisals, feasibility studies, and financial due diligence for new projects and partnerships.
3. Cost Management & Operational Finance
- Collaborate closely with supply chain, operations, and procurement to identify and implement strategies to optimize manufacturing and assembly costs (Target: ≥ 10% YoY efficiency gains).
- Track inventory valuation and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS).
- Act as a key financial consultant to regional leaders, enabling sound operational and strategic decision-making.
4. Tax & Compliance
- Oversee all financial activities within Kenya, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and treasury operations to maintain high liquidity coverage (Target: ≥ 100% of obligations).
- Oversee and ensure compliance with all local tax regulations (corporate income tax, VAT, customs duty, transfer pricing), statutory reporting, and regulatory obligations (Target: 100% adherence).
- Support foreign exchange risk management and international transactions.
- Coordinate internal and external audits, managing relationships with auditors, tax advisors, and consultants.
5. Leadership, Systems & Team Oversight
- Directly manage and guide the Kenya Finance team, ensuring reporting timelines and quality are consistently maintained.
- Standardize and optimize financial systems, policies, and processes across the region.
- Drive the implementation and optimization of ERP and other financial systems.
- Develop board-level reports, financial presentations, and performance dashboards for stakeholder management.

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
- Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CFA, or equivalent) is required.
- A Master's degree in Finance or Business is a strong advantage.
Experience & Expertise
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive finance experience, with a strong foundation in a Big Four accounting firm, providing exposure to complex audits, tax advisory, and compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex financial operations, including statutory reporting, tax compliance, and regulatory filings.
- Proven experience in industries with complex supply chains and manufacturing, ideally within automotive, EV, or industrial sectors.
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP, and local accounting standards, with practical application across diverse markets.
- Expertise in treasury operations, including cash flow management, foreign exchange risk mitigation, and international transactions.
