Legal Strategy and Advisory: Develop and implement the company's legal strategies, provide legal advice and support to senior management on various issues, and advise on the legal implications of internal policies. Contract and Document Management: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, legal documents, and policy documents. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure the organization complies with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies, identify legal risks, and develop mitigation strategies. Litigation and Counsel Management: Manage litigation, coordinate with external legal counsel, and manage relationships with third-party panel solicitors. Policy and Training: Develop and implement legal policies and procedures and train staff on legal and compliance matters. Legislation Monitoring: Monitor changes in legislation and assess their impact on the organization. Record-Keeping: Maintain legal records and documentation effectively. Staff and Resource Management: Line manage a team of legal staff, supervise their casework, and manage legal spend and resources effectively.
Legal Knowledge: In-depth understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and corporate governance principles. Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide clear, actionable advice. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for drafting, negotiating, and presenting information to diverse audiences. Leadership: Proven ability to lead and manage a legal team, foster collaboration, and motivate staff. Strategic Thinking: Ability to think creatively and strategically to achieve legal objectives and anticipate future legal challenges. Negotiation: Strong negotiation skills to effectively resolve legal disputes and finalize agreements. Organization and Time Management: Highly organized with excellent time management to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and manage a caseload. Proactiveness and Problem-Solving: Proactive in identifying potential issues and developing solutions. Detail-Oriented: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in legal documents and advice.
