Strategy & Implementation: Develop, implement, and manage sustainability strategies, goals, and action plans to reduce negative environmental and social impacts. Impact Assessment: Conduct assessments, including life cycle assessments, to evaluate the organization's environmental, social, and economic performance. Resource Management: Identify opportunities for energy conservation, waste reduction, water usage, and resource efficiency within the company. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the organization complies with relevant environmental and social regulations, standards, and laws, while mitigating risks. Reporting & Monitoring: Create sustainability metrics, monitor performance, and prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders to ensure transparency and accountability. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with and engage internal departments, employees, suppliers, customers, and external stakeholders to promote sustainability initiatives. Training & Education: Provide training and educational programs to employees and stakeholders on sustainability practices and the importance of sustainability goals.
Analytical & Data Analysis: Ability to collect, analyze operational and social data, and use tools like Excel or Power BI to identify trends and determine appropriate actions. Project Management: Skills to plan, implement, and track the progress of sustainability strategies and initiatives, including setting timelines and responsibilities. Communication (Verbal & Written): Excellent verbal and written skills to communicate complex sustainability requirements to different audiences and foster collaboration. Strategic Thinking: Ability to understand and align sustainability initiatives with broader organizational objectives and long-term goals. Collaboration & Influence: The ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, influence organizational culture, and drive sustainability projects collectively. Knowledge of Sustainability & Regulations: A strong understanding of current and emerging sustainability trends, best practices, and relevant regulations. Self-Motivation & Patience: Proactively seek knowledge, inspire others, and navigate the varying paces of change within the organization.
