The Marketing Manager will be responsible for development, implementation and supervision of all strategic marketing plans to attract students and promote academic programs. The incumbent will manage budgets, campaigns and social media presence. The position reports to the Vice Chancellor.

Qualification and Core Skills

  • Minimum of a Masters Degree in Marketing, Entrepreneurship or Administration from a recognized institution.
  • At least nine (7) years’ experience of which five (5) must be at Assistant Manager level or equivalent in a University, Research Institution, large public or private institution or a comparable institution.
  • A track record in building effective marketing strategies and campaigns.
  • Experience in creating innovative marketing products.
  • Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent leadership skills

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee implementation of the University Marketing Strategy
  • Develop and manage the marketing budget
  • Provide effective leadership and supervision of the marketing team
  • Manage marketing campaigns by overseeing the planning and execution across various channels.
  • Develop, manage and execute annual strategic marketing plans to reach appropriate target audiences.
  • Initiate research, development and implementation of innovative marketing programs.
  • Develop and promote branding initiatives consistent with the University’s business goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure alignment and consistency in marketing efforts.
  • Analyze potential new products to enhance the marketing work of the University. Provide strategic leadership for the marketing team and other departments.
  • Experience with marketing automation software, CRM systems, web analytics tools and social media platforms.
