MASON

Job Purpose

The Mason will carry out masonry and related construction work to ensure buildings and structures are constructed safely, accurately, and according to approved specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Construct walls, partitions, foundations, and other masonry structures.
• Mix and apply mortar, concrete, and other construction materials.
• Lay bricks, blocks, stones, and other masonry materials accurately.
• Read and work from construction drawings where required.
• Ensure walls and structures are properly aligned, level, and finished.
• Carry out plastering and other related masonry works.
• Assist with concrete and foundation works.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good condition.
• Follow site safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Report material requirements and construction issues to the supervisor.

Qualifications & Skills

• Relevant masonry training or practical experience.
• Proven experience as a Mason is an advantage.
• Ability to use masonry tools and equipment.
• Good understanding of construction techniques.
• Physically fit and able to work in demanding conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Level of Education: high school
