GENERAL PURPOSE

Our client, a market leader in the food manufacturing sector with exciting brands such as drinking chocolates, ice cream, yogurts, topping sauces, and chocolate spreads, is seeking to recruit an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Technician to support the efficient operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of production machinery and equipment.

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out repairs promptly.
• Inspect equipment regularly to ensure proper functioning.
• Support installation and commissioning of new machinery.
• Follow maintenance schedules and SOPs.
• Keep accurate maintenance records and service reports.
• Monitor machine performance and suggest improvements.
• Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, quality, and food safety standards.
• Work with production and engineering teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Assist in spare parts management and inventory control.

• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Good knowledge of industrial machinery and maintenance systems.
• Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Ability to work in shift-based operations.
• Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of workplace safety and food manufacturing standards.
• Good organizational and record-keeping skills.

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in maintenance in an FMCG food manufacturing environment.
• Must have experience in a dairy or ice cream production facility.
