DESCRIPTION OF ROLE

Assists in ensuring all Machinery and Equipment in the Plant and other Proto Energy Installations are well-engineered, constructed, monitored, maintained and operated to international best standards, while providing the highest uptime standards to meet Production SLAs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

  • Service and refurbish standby spares and equipment, and ensure they are ready for utilization.
  • Spearhead critical preventive schedules as assigned on SAP.
  • Carry out improvement activities within the plant as directed by engineers.
  • Suggest the replacement of parts and recommend installation of new equipment and modifications.
  • Liaise with engineers and stores to ensure optimal stock levels of spare parts.
  • Suggest and carry out performance improvement modifications.
  • Assist the supervisor in overseeing the operations of maintenance section and the management of the team.
  • Perform any other duty(ies) as will be assigned from time to time by the supervisor or management.
