Hearts afire in collaboration with Gihon and International vision Centre (IVC) intends to invite applications from qualified candidates for hospital vacancies. This is a level 3(a) health facility registered as a Faith-Based Organization, the health facility is based at the International Vision Centre Prayer Mountain in Maili Nne in Eldoret, the hospital is a partnership with IVC Ministry Eldoret offering clinical services, reproductive healthcare, curative and preventive healthcare with a Christian touch. Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the following vacant positions

Position summary
To apply the principles and procedures of modern medicine in preventing, diagnosing, caring for and treating illness, disease and injury; supervise the implementation of care and treatment plans by other medical personnel, and conduct medical education and research activities

Responsibilities
• Managing patients in outpatient, inpatient and casualty
• Respond to all calls of duty by the Clinical Officer or nurse-on duty, whether emergency or otherwise, as quickly as possible
• Physically review all patients and instruct, in writing, all recommendations
• Assist the consultant in all the wards, theatres and clinics
• Conduct ward rounds with the Cos and Nurses in the clinical area whenever the specialist is not there • Undertake certain specified emergency surgeries, minor or major, with the assistance of the intern doctor(s) or students (s)
• Perform Post mortems (PMs) and duly fill PM forms
• Undertake medical examinations and certify physical fitness
• Provide education for prevention of disease and health promotional activities
• Participate in outreach health activities
• Prepare and conduct CME’s in the department in each quarter
• Observe timeliness in service delivery at all times.
