About the Role
We are seeking a meticulous and organized Medical Scheduler to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing appointment schedules, coordinating with patients and healthcare providers, and ensuring the smooth operation of our medical facility's scheduling system.
Responsibilities
The Medical Scheduler will be expected to perform the following duties:
- Schedule patient appointments, consultations, and procedures accurately.
- Manage and update the appointment calendar, ensuring no conflicts or double bookings.
- Communicate with patients to confirm appointments, provide pre-appointment instructions, and answer scheduling-related queries.
- Liaise with doctors, nurses, and other medical staff to coordinate schedules and ensure availability.
- Handle cancellations and rescheduling requests efficiently.
- Maintain patient records related to appointments and scheduling.
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following:
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education in healthcare administration is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Medical Scheduler or in a similar administrative role within a healthcare setting.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and scheduling software.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Experience
A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in medical scheduling or a related administrative role is required.

This is a full-time position based in our Nairobi office. You will be part of a supportive and dynamic healthcare team.
