Responsibilities or duties

• Assess psycho-social history of patients/clients;
• Record psycho-social history of patients/clients and identify needy clients for psycho- social support;
• Verify supportive documents provided by patients/clients;
• Collect patient/clients’ bio data including relevant interventions;
• Sensitize clients on enrolment to NHIF or choice health insurance covers;
• Extract psychosocial information from the patient and observation of casual factors which might be useful to the treatment plan;
• Implement patients’ treatment programs and follow up on discharge;
• Perform other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

• Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade C- or its equivalent qualification;
• Diploma in any of the following fields: Medical Social Work, Social Work, Sociology, or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
• Demonstrate professional competence as reflected in work performance and results;
• Certificate in computer applications from a recognized institution;
• Demonstrate understanding and commitment to the values and principles as outlined in article 10 and 232 of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010;
• Satisfy the requirements of Chapter 6 of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010.
