Background

The African Institute of Research and Development Studies (AIRADS) is seeking to hire qualified individuals to fill various trainer positions. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the development of skilled professionals in diverse fields. The intake for these positions is ongoing for January/February 2026.

Responsibilities

As a trainer at AIRADS, your responsibilities will include delivering high-quality instruction, developing curriculum, assessing student performance, and contributing to the academic environment. Specific duties will vary depending on the subject matter expertise.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates are expected to possess a Degree or Diploma with pedagogical training in the relevant field. A minimum of two years of teaching experience is required for all positions. Specific roles may have additional requirements, such as a valid driving license for driving school instructors or a certificate from the Nursing Council of Kenya for Clinical Nurse Instructors. Proficiency in computer literacy and strong communication skills are essential.

AIRADS is committed to providing quality education and research. The institute has several campuses across Kenya, including Kisumu City, Nakuru City, Eldoret City, Kericho Town, Lodwar Town, Bungoma Town, and Maralal Town.

  • Deliver high-quality instruction in the relevant field.
  • Develop and update curriculum as needed.
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback.
  • Contribute to a positive and productive learning environment.
  • For Plant Operators: Ensure ability to operate at least two (2) Plants of Difficult rating C.
  • For Driving School Instructors: Possess a valid driving license/Instructor License.
  • Good Communication Skills
  • Computer Literacy
  • Degree or Diploma with Pedagogical training in the relevant field.
  • At Least 2 Years teaching Experience for all positions.
  • For Plant operators should be able to operate at least two(2) Plants of Difficult rating C.
  • Valid driving license/Instructor License for Driving school /Plant Operators.
  • Clinical Nurses Instructors should have a valid registration Certificate from Nursing Council of Kenya.
