Kiram Academy is seeking a dedicated Music Teacher to join their team.

Responsibilities or duties

To provide high-quality music education, fostering students’ musical skills, appreciation, and creativity.

  • Teach music across age and ability ranges, including practical instrument skills, theory, and history.
  • Direct school choir, bands, ensembles, and musical productions.
  • Organize performances within and outside school.
  • Manage music resources, instruments, and equipment.
  • Assess and track student progress in line with curriculum standards.
  • Prepare students for exams (e.g., GCSE, A-Level, practical graded exams).
  • Collaborate with other departments for cross-curricular projects.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

  • Degree in Music, Music Education, or related field.
  • QTS or equivalent teaching certification.
  • Proficiency in at least one musical instrument.

Experience needed

  • Teaching music in a school setting.
  • Experience directing ensembles or school productions.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong musical ability and knowledge of various genres.
  • Ability to engage and motivate students of all levels.
  • Organizational skills for events and rehearsals.
  • Good communication with students, parents, and staff.
