Responsibilities or duties

Reporting to the Charge sister in the wards or Assistant Manager – Out-Patient department, the Nurse Sisters as primary caregivers must be able to play a key role in assessing children’s nursing needs, taking into account their medical, social, cultural, and family circumstances.

He/she is expected to plan and deliver care in a variety of settings (both in and outpatient), as well as during transfers between these settings.

The ideal candidate must be able to take a team leadership role, communicate appropriately with children and their parents or guardians as a key part of their job, as is working in partnership with other health care professionals to ensure optimal care.
