Qualifications or requirements

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) from a recognized institution.

A valid registration and current practicing license issued by the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK).

A Higher Diploma in Nursing Administration, Health Services Management, Critical Care Nursing, Renal Nursing, Perioperative Nursing, Oncology Nursing, Anaesthesia, Midwifery, or another relevant nursing specialty will be an added advantage.

A degree in Health Systems Management, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or a related field will be an added advantage.

Demonstrated leadership and people management skills with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.

Strong knowledge of nursing practice standards, hospital quality management systems, infection prevention and control, and Ministry of Health regulations.

Proven experience in strategic planning, budgeting, resource management, and performance management within nursing services.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.

High standards of integrity, professionalism, confidentiality, and commitment to compassionate, patient-centred care.

Proficiency in computer applications, data management, and report writing.

Experience needed

A minimum of seven (7) years' progressive nursing experience, with at least three (3) years in a senior supervisory or management role within a reputable hospital.
