JOB VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

GIDEONS MISSION HOSPITAL is a faith-based health institution owned and managed by the Catholic Diocese of Nakuru. It is located in Nakuru CBD along West Road, 200m from the State House Junction.

Our facility will be Offering evidence based consultative, comprehensive, preventive, Promotive, curative and all rounded healthcare under one roof and supported by Ultra-modern medical equipment, Outpatient Services, Inpatient Services, Maternity Services, Theatre, and HDU/ICU.

We are proud to announce the grand opening of our facility which is scheduled for late 2026.

Our Hospital is strategically situated for easy access by residents of Nakuru and surrounding areas. We will be available on all mapping platforms on the official launching date of the facility.

Nutrition & Dietetics Officer – 7 Positions

Salary: Ksh 35,500–40,000
Contract: Permanent

Job Summary

The Nutrition & Dietetics Officer will provide professional nutrition assessment, counselling, and dietary management to patients while supporting the hospital's preventive and curative healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct nutritional assessments for patients.
• Develop individualized nutrition and dietary care plans.
• Provide dietary counselling to patients and their families.
• Support management of nutrition-related conditions.
• Work with clinicians and other healthcare professionals in patient care.
• Monitor patients' nutritional progress and adjust interventions accordingly.
• Provide nutrition education and health-promotion services.
• Support menu planning for patients where required.
• Maintain accurate nutrition records and reports.
• Participate in community nutrition and preventive-health programmes.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from a recognized institution.
• Registration with the relevant professional body where applicable.
• Valid practising licence where required.
• Strong knowledge of clinical nutrition and dietary management.
• Good counselling and communication skills.
• Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Level of Education: bachelor degree
