Job Summary:

The Nutritionist will be responsible for providing comprehensive nutrition services within Excelligent Health Hospital. The role involves conducting nutrition assessments, delivering nutrition education, and offering counseling to patients with specific dietary needs. The officer will support maternal, infant, and young child nutrition programmes, implement supplementary and therapeutic feeding programmes, and assist in the monitoring and preparation of therapeutic feeds. The Nutritionist will also collect and compile nutrition data for reporting and decision-making, while ensuring quality patient care and adherence to national nutrition guidelines.

• Providing comprehensive nutrition services within Excelligent Health Hospital.
• Conducting nutrition assessments.
• Delivering nutrition education.
• Offering counseling to patients with specific dietary needs.
• Supporting maternal, infant, and young child nutrition programmes.
• Implementing supplementary and therapeutic feeding programmes.
• Assisting in the monitoring and preparation of therapeutic feeds.
• Collecting and compiling nutrition data for reporting and decision-making.
• Ensuring quality patient care and adherence to national nutrition guidelines.

• Computer Applications

• A Diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics from a recognized and accredited institution.
• Registration with the Kenya Nutrition and Dietetics Council (KNDI) and a valid registration certificate.
• Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in a busy healthcare facility (preferably hospital setting).
• Certificate in Computer Applications from a recognized institution.
