Head of Operations

Key Accountabilities 

  • Develop an operations strategy that ensures sustained business growth through operational efficiency cost effectiveness in the delivery and execution of project activities as well as organic growth
  • Build the company’s strategic operations roadmap and prioritization based on local and global initiatives Place our people and customers at the center of our operations and provide oversight as well as visioning of the operations function and its activities so as to ensure that the company always maintains its competitiveness and market leadership while carrying the people along
  • Lead initiatives for market growth and retention through participation in business development initiatives while ensuring customer satisfaction levels are sustained in order to achieve the company’s customer retention targets
  • Continuously scan the market for current trends than can lead to greater efficiency and process improvements than can yield desired cost-effective results and reduce wastage
  • Manage, lead, energise and develop staff by providing visioning, performance-based reward systems and motivation through fairness and clarity in the interpretation of the strategy
  • Prepare the annual operations budget and ensure follow through so as to align with the company’s strategic revenue and profitability objectives
  • Cascade communication to all operational units in accordance with the company’s policy so as tocreate awareness on company priorities and strategic direction
  • Oversee the development and implementation of operational policies and procedures
  • Develop a culture of organic growth within the Operations function through cross-selling and reselling initiatives
  • Engender a culture of strong project management and client relations competencies within the team
  • Contribute to the overall corporate level sustainability objectives through continuous improvement and innovation by scanning the environment and managing change
  • Manage departmental staff performance and carry out reviews as per agreed schedules
  • Identifying opportunities for converting Operational activities into profit centers
  • Drive a culture of customer centricity and operational excellence in line with Parapet values
  • Align and coordinate day to day operations between each sub-department to generate operational synergies and drive improvements

SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 
Overview:

  • The Head of Operations is a strategic thinker with demonstrated business acumen and the capacity to build strong relationships with a range of stakeholders. 
  • He / She has a strong leadership profile – ability to generate energy, communicate, simplify, mobilize, see the big picture and challenge. 
  • He/She is a results-oriented individual, accountable and delivery-focused, demonstrating commercial acumen (business & financial understanding) and the ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels.
  • He/She should be the holder of Master’s Degree in a business-related field with professional training in an area relevant to the industry.
  • They ideally should have a minimum of six (6) years relevant experience of which at least four (4) years should be in a senior management capacity in the service industry, and: 

Human Resource Manager

SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 
 
Overview:

  • The Human Resource Manager is a strategic individual with demonstrated people management skills and business acumen with the capacity to build strong relationships with a range of stakeholders. 
  • He / She has a strong leadership profile – ability to generate energy, communicate, simplify, mobilize, see the big picture and challenge. He/She is a results-oriented individual, accountable and delivery-focused, demonstrates Commercial acumen (business & financial understanding) and the ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline. An MBA in Human 
  • Experience in a people/process improvement related function 
  • Resource Management /Business Management will be an added advantage.
  • Membership of IHRM of good standing.
  • At least 8 years of generalist HR experience.
  • A sound knowledge of labour laws and codes of practice.
  • Experience in working in a service and unionized environment with a large workforce.
  • Competent in using MS Office.
  • A track record of successful Human Resource leadership in driving people, organization development and change management.
  • Ability to be effective both strategically and at hands-on operational level.

Facilities Manager

SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 

  • Proven experience as facilities manager or relevant position
  • Well-versed in technical/engineering operations and facilities management best practices
  • Knowledge of basic accounting and finance principles
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to keep track of and report on activity
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Good analytical/critical thinking
  • Qualification facility management, engineering, business administration or relevant field
  • In-depth understanding of project planning and analysis
  • Commercial awareness partnered control and planning mindset
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Multi-tasker who works effectively and efficiently under pressure and meets deadlines
  • Self-driven and Results Oriented
  • Bachelor’s degree/diploma in engineering, land economics or related field from a recognized institution and a diploma in business management 
  • Minimum 3 years relevant working experience in a recognized institution 
  • Track record of achievements in previous engagement

Credit Controller

SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Outstanding attention to detail with an ability to reconcile complex accounts
  • Accurate, efficient and organised with the ability to prioritise tasks as needed
  • Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office and accountancy software
  • Ability to maintain strong relationships with external clients and internal colleagues
  • Professional, confident and diplomatic when liaising with others
  • Must be of a highly persuasive, positive nature
  • Very strong interpersonal skills
  • Multi-tasker who works effectively and efficiently under pressure and meets deadlines 
  • Self-driven and Results Oriented
  • Good numeracy skills.
