Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily vehicle movements, driver assignments and scheduled trips.
  • Monitor vehicles using GPS/vehicle tracking systems and follow up on route deviations, delays and other operational issues.
  • Coordinate with drivers, clients, mechanics and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Monitor fuel consumption, mileage and vehicle utilization and report discrepancies.
  • Handle and promptly escalate breakdowns, accidents, delays and emergencies.
  • Maintain accurate control-room records and prepare daily operational reports.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures and operational standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Diploma in Transport Management, Fleet Management, Business Administration or a related field.
  • At least 5 years experience in a busy control room, transport operations, fleet management or a similar environment.
  • Experience in the transport industry is highly desirable.
  • Experience with GPS/vehicle tracking and fleet management systems.
  • Good Microsoft Office/Excel skills.
  • High level of integrity, accountability and professionalism.
  • Strong communication, analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, multitask and meet tight deadlines.
  • Self-motivated, dependable and a good team player.
  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays where required.
