Background information about the job or company (e.g., role context, company overview)
Designed in Finland with over ten years and five product generations worth of experience in vehicle tracking from every continent in the world, we understand that more than just a tracker made from the highest quality components is needed to secure the families and fleets of Tramigo customers anywhere in Africa. Strong local partnerships, branding and reseller networks are the keys to achieving this goal and ensuring that we're able to react to the changing needs of fleet owners, families and entrepreneurial partners.
We’re entrepreneurial by nature. We move fast, make decisions quickly and build things together. If you’re looking for a traditional corporate finance role where every task is already defined, this probably isn’t the right place for you.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys bringing structure, solving problems and making sure things actually get done.
This is a hands-on role supporting our operations in Kenya, Rwanda and selected regional markets. You’ll work closely with our CEO, Group CFO and local teams to strengthen financial discipline, improve operational follow-up and build better ways of working across East Africa.
We value initiative, ownership and collaboration. We enjoy working with people who take responsibility, challenge issues constructively and are excited about building something meaningful together.
Responsibilities or duties
- Strengthen business control across our Kenya and Rwanda operations.
- Supervise in-house accounting and improve financial discipline.
- Improve billing, receivables, inventory control and cash flow visibility.
- Coordinate with banks, auditors, tax authorities and external stakeholders.
- Improve Odoo processes, reporting and data quality.
- Support selected finance and operational activities across Sub-Saharan Africa.
- Act as a trusted operational partner for management, ensuring issues are followed through to completion.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
We’re looking for someone who:
- Takes ownership and follows issues through to completion.
- Enjoys improving processes and bringing structure to busy environments.
- Has a strong foundation in accounting, finance and business control.
- Is comfortable following up across different teams and holding people accountable.
- Communicates confidently with both local and international colleagues.
- Is practical, reliable and commercially aware.
- Welcomes feedback and continuously improves the way they work.
- Doesn’t wait for work to be assigned every day but identifies issues, takes initiative and helps move things forward.
Experience needed
Experience with ERP systems (especially Odoo), accounting, inventory control, receivables, reporting and cross-border operations is an advantage.
Any other provided details (e.g., benefits, work environment, team info, or additional notes)
Why join Tramigo?
This is a high-impact role where your work will directly influence how our East Africa operations perform.
You’ll gain broad exposure to finance, operations, inventory, reporting, cross-border coordination and regional business management while working closely with an experienced international leadership team.
For the right person, this role offers an excellent opportunity to grow as Tramigo continues to expand across Africa.
If you’re energized by building stronger businesses, improving how things work and taking ownership in a fast-moving environment, we’d love to hear from you..
