Responsibilities or duties,

Oversee the end-to-end clearing and forwarding process, ensuring timely and compliant cargo clearance.

Manage daily operations across imports, exports, and transit shipments.

Build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders, including KRA Customs, port authorities, shipping lines, airlines, container freight stations (CFS), transporters, and other regulatory agencies.

Ensure compliance with all customs, tax, and regulatory requirements.

Lead, mentor, and supervise the operations team to achieve service excellence.

Monitor operational KPIs and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.

Resolve operational challenges and customer escalations promptly.

Coordinate with clients and internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery.

Manage operational costs while maintaining high service standards.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills),

Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Strong knowledge of customs procedures, import/export documentation, and freight forwarding operations.

Proven experience managing stakeholder relationships with KRA Customs, Kenya Ports Authority (KPA), Kenya Revenue Authority, shipping lines, airlines, CFS operators, and other relevant government agencies.

Strong leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Proficiency in customs systems is an added advantage.

Experience needed,

Minimum of 5 years' experience in a clearing and forwarding company, with at least 3 years in a management role.
