About the Role

They are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations & Procurement Officer to join their team in Nairobi. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth running of daily operations and optimizing the procurement process to support the company's growth and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage daily operational activities to ensure efficiency and productivity.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality of goods and services.
  • Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Monitor inventory levels and implement inventory control measures.
  • Analyze operational data and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to align operational and procurement activities with business objectives.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (minimum 3 years) in operations and procurement, preferably within the FMCG sector.
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, contract negotiation, and supplier management.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and relevant ERP systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
