Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct ophthalmic assessments and manage routine eye conditions
  • Provide clear diagnoses, treatment plans, and patient education
  • Perform SICS/Phaco procedures within approved scope (where credentialed)
  • Conduct pre- and post-operative reviews
  • Contribute to efficient and well-coordinated patient care through timely consultations, documentation, and communication with the clinical team
  • Identify patients requiring surgical intervention and ensure clear clinical handover to the booking office
  • Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation
  • Participate in clinical audits, CMEs, and quality improvement activities
  • Support outreach and cross-site service delivery where required

Qualifications

Essential

  • Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery
  • Higher Diploma in Ophthalmology (COC-accredited)
  • Valid practicing license

Desirable

  • SICS / Phaco certification
  • BLS / ACLS certification
  • Outreach experience
