Outreach Services Manager
Job Purpose
The Outreach Services Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the hospital’s outreach programs and community health initiatives. The role aims to increase access to healthcare services, strengthen community engagement, support patient referrals, and enhance the hospital’s impact through effective outreach activities, partnerships, and program management.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement outreach strategies and annual work plans aligned with the hospital’s mission and objectives.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee community outreach programs, medical camps, screening activities, and awareness campaigns.
- Collaborate with clinical departments to organize and deliver outreach services effectively.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with community organizations, schools, healthcare facilities, local leaders, donors, and other stakeholders.
- Coordinate outreach logistics, including scheduling, transportation, equipment, supplies, and staffing requirements.
- Monitor outreach activities and evaluate performance against established targets and objectives.
- Collect, analyze, and report outreach data, outcomes, and impact indicators.
- Promote community awareness of hospital services and facilitate referrals to the hospital.
- Develop and manage outreach budgets and ensure efficient utilization of resources.
- Supervise outreach staff and volunteers, providing leadership, guidance, and performance management.
- Prepare reports, proposals, and presentations related to outreach programs and stakeholder engagement.
- Identify opportunities for program growth, partnerships, and community engagement initiatives.
Requirements
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Community Health, Health Promotion, Social Sciences, Healthcare Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Master’s Degree in Public Health, Healthcare Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Preferred).
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in community outreach, healthcare program management, public health, or related fields.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Experience coordinating community health programs, medical camps, or healthcare outreach initiatives.
- Experience working with donors, partners, government agencies, and community organizations is an added advantage (Preferred).
Required Skills and Competencies
- Strong leadership and program management skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and data management systems.
- Strong planning, coordination, and organizational abilities.
- Knowledge of community engagement, health promotion, and outreach methodologies.
- Strong stakeholder relationship management and partnership-building skills.
- Data analysis, reporting, and monitoring skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and accountability.
