Summary of the Role:

We are looking for a graduate who has done any of Ajira's modules to assist the Strategic Operations Lead in overseeing the PR & Communications operations of the Ajira Program in accordance with the Ajira Digital procedures.

The roles and responsibilities shall include:

  • Assist in the execution of a Nationwide Overall Communications Strategy, mapping out Youth audience analysis to drive Youth Mobilization, Conversions, Digital Communications and Public relations to drive Youth Enrollment into our Programs, to benefit from local and international Online Work opportunities.
  • Support coordination Communications, Digital/Creative and PR/Media activities to increase Countrywide awareness and enrollment of Young people in particular, Young Women (both rural and urban) including Students in Universities/TVETs into our programs for Trainings and Events.
  • Support in ensuring consistent branding and visibility on all platforms on both traditional media and digital media.
  • Assist in coordinate coverage of eMobilis programs and related issues in Reputable National Mass Media to drive Conversion and enrolment of Young People in particular, Young Women in the Rural and ASAL regions.
  • Aid in coordinating and designing communication materials such as brochures, statements, maps, banners, posters, etc. while adhering to organization’s policies.
  • Support in planning and Coordinating rollout of Monthly Newsletter in a timely, creative and appealing way to the audience.
  • Aid in coordinating story, photo, and video assets development that support overall visibility of program activities, success stories/beneficiaries as well as lead on-ground activation and publicity activities.
  • Assist in documenting Program activities, events, outcomes and impact and creation of Beneficiary Documentaries and Content and support the development, editorial, design and production of high-quality, effective print, electronic, web and video communications, including reports, presentations, donor reports, brochures, photobooks, statements, etc.
  • Assist in coordinate designing of Youth Targeted Branding materials and ATL Communications including Brochures, Fliers, Posters, Billboards etc. in the most effect languages for the varies segments.
  • Help coordinate creation of content to be used on the web and on the various social media platforms as well as assist in driving program promotional campaigns while ensuring daily content posted across social media handles.
  • Help coordinate production of high-quality photos/videos to promote our work (Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok etc).
  • Assist in coordinating the ground Experiential Activations in the Ajira Centres, in Constituency/Community Ajira Events and in Universities and TVETs to Drive Mobilization and Enrolment of the Young people and Young Women to Ajira Digital.
  • Support the development of brand collateral to developing internal and external communications and marketing strategies.
  • Assist in media to help the brand gain exposure in local, national and international media.
  • Any other duty assigned to you within your capabilities.

Qualifications:

  • Degree/Diploma/Certificate in related field.
  • Has completed any of Ajira's module.
