This role is critical in ensuring that daily packhouse production runs efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality, productivity, and food safety. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning daily production activities, coordinating with key teams, supervising production staff, and ensuring that all customer orders are processed, packed, and dispatched on time.
Location: Nairobi, Kenya
Salary: KES 40,000 Gross
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate daily production based on confirmed customer orders
- Ensure orders are processed, packed, and dispatched on time
- Supervise graders and production staff on the production floor
- Monitor productivity levels and ensure teams meet set targets
- Ensure product grading standards and customer specifications are followed
- Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and technical teams to ensure raw material availability
- Maintain hygiene, food safety, and production standards within the packhouse
- Monitor production performance, minimize wastage, and report daily production summaries
- Ensure proper documentation and traceability of production records
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Degree in Horticulture, Food Science & Technology, Agribusiness, Supply Chain Management, or Operations/Production Management
- 2–4 years of experience in a fresh produce packhouse or food processing environment
- Experience supervising production staff, particularly graders working under productivity targets
- Strong understanding of vegetable grading standards such as French beans, snow peas, and sugar snaps
- Experience handling export orders for international markets is highly desirable
- Basic computer skills including Excel and production reporting systems
