Responsibilities

The Perioperative Nursing Tutor will be responsible for:

• Delivering comprehensive theoretical and practical instruction in perioperative nursing.
• Developing and updating curriculum to meet industry standards and student needs.
• Assessing student performance through examinations, assignments, and practical evaluations.
• Providing academic guidance and mentorship to students.
• Maintaining accurate student records and progress reports.
• Collaborating with clinical placement coordinators to ensure effective student learning in clinical settings.
• Staying abreast of current trends and advancements in perioperative nursing and nursing education.

Qualifications and Requirements

Candidates should possess the following:

• A Master's degree in Nursing or a related field.
• A Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
• Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid practicing license.
• Specialization or extensive experience in perioperative nursing.
• Previous teaching or lecturing experience in a tertiary institution is an added advantage.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in relevant educational technology and methodologies.

Experience

A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in perioperative nursing and/or nursing education is required.
