Background

Our client, a reputable and fast-paced media television network in Kenya, is seeking to hire a mature, diligent, and highly organized Personal Assistant to provide comprehensive administrative and operational support to the Chief Operations Officer (C.O.O).

The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day coordination of the C.O.O’s office, facilitating effective communication across departments, managing key administrative processes, and supporting the implementation of strategic initiatives. This position requires a proactive individual who can handle multiple priorities, maintain discretion, and thrive in a dynamic, high-pressure media environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the C.O.O’s schedule, communication, and correspondence including emails, calls, meetings, and travel plans, ensuring efficient time management and smooth daily operations.
  • Draft, edit, and prepare professional documents and reports such as proposals, letters, presentations, and internal communications for review and approval.
  • Coordinate and organize meetings, events, and company engagements, ensuring all logistics, materials, and briefings are well-prepared.
  • Take accurate meeting notes, track action items, and follow up on key deliverables to ensure timely execution of decisions and projects.
  • Serve as a liaison between the C.O.O, staff, management, and external partners, ensuring clear, timely, and professional communication.
  • Handle confidential information and office administration duties with discretion, professionalism, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business administration, Communications, Public Relations, International Relations, or a related field from a recognized institution.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of maturity, professionalism, flexible, self-driven, and adaptable to changing circumstances and discretion.
