Drug development and formulation: Optimizing drug formulations to improve efficacy and safety. Quality control: Conducting tests on raw materials and finished products to ensure they meet standards. Production: Overseeing and assisting in the large-scale manufacturing of medications. Regulatory affairs: Supporting documentation and processes for regulatory approval. Patient care: Dispensing medications, counselling patients on usage and adherence, and ensuring proper handling of supplies. Inventory management: Monitoring stock levels, managing orders, and ensuring drugs are not expired. Record-keeping: Meticulously documenting experimental procedures, results, and patient information.
Technical skills: Pharmaceutical sciences and laboratory techniques Quality control and assurance procedures Computer literacy and familiarity with pharmacy software Inventory management and record-keeping GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) knowledge Soft skills: Communication: Essential for collaborating with teams and counselling patients Attention to detail: Critical for accuracy in dispensing, research, and documentation Problem-solving: Necessary for troubleshooting issues with patients, colleagues, or equipment Organizational skills: Needed for managing inventory, maintaining a clean workspace, and handling documentation Integrity and professionalism: Crucial for handling sensitive patient and company information Adaptability: Important for keeping up with a fast-evolving industry
Education: Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field, though some positions may accept a Diploma.
